With so many export products being shipped and sold in the export market, labeling in packaging plays a very important role that is often underestimated. Labeling is one part of the product, which is a description of both pictures and words that function as a source of product information. Labels generally contain information in the form of product name or brand, raw materials, composition additives, nutritional information, expiration date, product contents, and legality information. The use of labels in packaging is very important because it contains various product information.
In its application, PT Kelola Laut Nusantara has provided labels on the packaging in detail, including information on product name, size, quantity, production code, storage instructions, and nutritional information.
The purpose of the label is as follows:
- Provide information about the contents of the labeled product without having to open the package.
- Serves as a means of communication between producers and consumers about things that consumers need to know about the product, especially things that are visible or not physically known.
- Provide appropriate instructions to consumers to obtain optimum product function.
